Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response operations during public health crises
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness protocols for city-wide incidents
- Lead public health risk assessments and communication strategies
- Manage resource allocation and logistics for emergency response teams
- Train and supervise emergency response personnel across city departments
- Collaborate with state and federal health agencies on compliance initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive incident reports and post-event analyses
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health emergency response
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or higher
- Demonstrated crisis communication and inter-agency coordination skills
- Ability to work extended hours during emergency activations
- Strong knowledge of FEMA and CDC emergency protocols
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) proficiency preferred
