Responsibilities
- Coordinate city-wide emergency response operations during public health crises
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness protocols for natural disasters and pandemics
- Liaise with federal/state agencies (FEMA, CDC, OSDH) for resource deployment
- Train public health staff and community volunteers on emergency procedures
- Analyze incident data to optimize response strategies and mitigate future risks
- Manage emergency supply chain logistics and distribution networks
- Prepare public communications during crisis situations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of emergency response or public health coordination experience
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent designation required
- Expertise in Incident Command System (ICS) and NIMS protocols
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Exceptional crisis communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work 24/7 shifts during emergency activations
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
