Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response activities during public health crises (disease outbreaks, natural disasters, etc.)
- Collaborate with local agencies to implement state-mandated health protocols and safety measures
- Conduct rapid needs assessments for vulnerable populations in affected communities
- Develop and distribute critical public health communications to diverse audiences
- Maintain accurate documentation of response activities and resource allocation
- Support mass vaccination/testing sites and logistical coordination
- Participate in 24/7 emergency rotation as required during active crises
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in public health or crisis response
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-100/200) or equivalent
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights/weekends during emergencies
- Strong written communication skills for crisis documentation
- Experience with data collection tools (e.g., Epi-Info, RedCap)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
