Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive emergency preparedness plans for public health threats
- Coordinate multi-agency response operations during health crises and disasters
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for Philadelphia communities
- Train public health staff and community partners on emergency protocols
- Manage data collection and reporting for situational awareness
- Leverage GIS technology for resource allocation and evacuation planning
- Ensure compliance with NIMS/ICS frameworks and state emergency regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health emergency response
- Certification in Emergency Management (CEM) or Incident Command System (ICS)
- Expertise in crisis communication and stakeholder coordination
- Proficiency with public health data platforms (e.g., Epi-Info, ESRI ArcGIS)
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure during high-stakes situations
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and willingness to work extended hours
