Responsibilities
- Lead public health emergency response operations during crises including pandemics, natural disasters, and bioterrorism incidents
- Develop and implement community-wide vaccination distribution strategies with 24/7 operational oversight
- Coordinate multi-agency incident command systems with FEMA, HHS, and local healthcare providers
- Analyze real-time epidemiological data to inform public health interventions and resource allocation
- Design and execute culturally competent crisis communication campaigns across diverse Minneapolis communities
- Manage federal grant compliance for emergency preparedness programs (HRSA, CDC, ASPR)
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (MPH preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or Public Health Emergency Certification (PHEC)
- Expertise in Incident Command System (ICS) and NIMS protocols
- Advanced data visualization skills (Tableau, Power BI) for epidemiological trend analysis
- Demonstrated success in securing federal emergency preparedness grants ($500K+)
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Somali, or Hmong required
