Responsibilities
- Lead emergency response operations for public health crises (outbreaks, natural disasters, bioterrorism)
- Coordinate with federal/state/local agencies including FEMA, CDC, and local health departments
- Develop and execute emergency preparedness plans for vulnerable populations
- Manage incident command systems during declared emergencies
- Conduct rapid risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
- Train public health staff on emergency response protocols
- Prepare detailed after-action reports for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent credential
- Proven experience with Incident Command Systems (ICS)
- Expertise in developing emergency preparedness plans
- Strong knowledge of federal/state emergency response frameworks
- Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance within 30 days
- Valid Colorado driver's license
