Responsibilities
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols for public health incidents
- Coordinate with local healthcare systems, emergency management, and federal agencies
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform resource allocation and containment strategies
- Lead cross-functional teams during disaster response activations
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with public health standards
- Conduct community outreach and risk communication during emergencies
- Prepare reports for county leadership and public health stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS) or equivalent
- Strong data analysis skills with experience in epidemiological software
- Proven ability to coordinate multi-agency partnerships
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work flexible hours during emergency activations
- Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
