Responsibilities
- Lead emergency response operations for public health crises including disease outbreaks and natural disasters
- Coordinate multi-agency collaboration with hospitals, schools, and community organizations
- Develop and implement crisis communication strategies for diverse audiences
- Conduct rapid needs assessments and deploy resources during emergencies
- Train public health staff on emergency protocols and incident command systems
- Analyze data to inform public health interventions and policy recommendations
- Manage grant-funded emergency preparedness projects with strict deadlines
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300/400) preferred
- Proven ability to work under extreme pressure with competing priorities
- Expertise in data analysis using public health surveillance tools
- Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement across diverse communities
- Valid Minnesota driver's license and ability to travel countywide
