Responsibilities
- Develop and execute emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Coordinate with state/federal agencies during disaster declarations
- Lead community vaccination and containment campaigns
- Train public health staff in emergency procedures
- Monitor disease surveillance data and issue timely alerts
- Manage resource allocation during health emergencies
- Conduct post-incident response evaluations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years of public health emergency response experience
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent
- Experience with NIMS/ICS frameworks
- Strong crisis communication skills
- Knowledge of Louisiana public health regulations
- Ability to work 24/7 during emergencies
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
