Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Coordinate multi-agency disaster preparedness drills and tabletop exercises
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and vulnerabilities
- Lead community outreach initiatives for health emergency education and awareness
- Manage grant-funded projects related to public health infrastructure improvement
- Prepare detailed incident action plans and after-action reports
- Serve as primary liaison between state health authorities and local emergency management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health emergency response or disaster coordination
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent designation
- Expertise in crisis communication strategies and public messaging
- Proficiency with GIS mapping and emergency management software
- Valid Arizona driver's license and ability to work irregular hours during emergencies
- Proven ability to secure and manage federal/state grant funding
