Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response operations for public health crises including disease outbreaks and natural disasters
- Develop and implement rapid assessment protocols for community health vulnerabilities
- Leverage GIS mapping and epidemiological data to optimize resource allocation
- Train and deploy public health volunteers across 12 city districts
- Collaborate with state agencies to ensure compliance with public health emergency declarations
- Prepare actionable briefings for city council and emergency operations centers
- Manage crisis communication channels for public health alerts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certified in Incident Command System (ICS-300) and NIMS compliance
- Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS and epidemiological software (e.g., Epi Info)
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work 24/7 rotations during declared emergencies
- Experience with federal grant reporting (FEMA, CDC)
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
