Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response operations for public health crises including infectious disease outbreaks and natural disasters
- Develop and implement preparedness training programs for healthcare providers and community organizations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging threats and recommend intervention strategies
- Liaise with local, state, and federal agencies including CDC, FEMA, and Seattle Public Health
- Manage resource allocation during emergency situations including PPE distribution and vaccination campaigns
- Prepare comprehensive incident action plans and after-action reports
- Lead public risk communication campaigns during health emergencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent emergency management certification
- Advanced knowledge of NIMS/ICS protocols and FEMA Incident Command System
- Proven experience with epidemiological data analysis and public health surveillance systems
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholder audiences
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for sensitive public health data
