Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response operations during public health crises
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness plans for disease outbreaks and disasters
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for Indiana communities
- Train healthcare professionals and public health workers on emergency protocols
- Manage data collection and reporting for situational awareness
- Lead community outreach initiatives during public health emergencies
- Collaborate with FEMA and CDC on joint response strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300 or higher)
- Demonstrated ability to work under extreme pressure with minimal supervision
- Expert knowledge of public health emergency frameworks (NIMS, PHEM)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in emergency data systems
- Exceptional communication abilities for diverse stakeholder engagement
