Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans for public health threats
- Coordinate multi-agency disaster response operations with FEMA, CDC, and state partners
- Analyze epidemiological data to guide crisis intervention strategies
- Train healthcare professionals and community responders on emergency protocols
- Manage public health resource deployment during disaster scenarios
- Conduct post-event evaluations and implement improvement protocols
- Lead community outreach for emergency preparedness education
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of public health emergency response experience
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or higher
- Expertise in epidemiological data analysis and crisis communication
- Experience managing federal/state grant-funded projects
- Valid California driver's license and ability to work irregular hours during emergencies
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency highly desirable
