Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency health responses for public health crises including disease outbreaks and natural disasters
- Develop and implement rapid-response protocols for vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform public health interventions
- Liaise with local hospitals, schools, and community organizations during emergencies
- Prepare and distribute public health communications during crisis events
- Manage emergency supply chains and resource allocation
- Conduct post-incident evaluations to improve future response strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certified in Incident Command System (ICS) or equivalent emergency training
- Proficiency in epidemiological data analysis tools (e.g., Epi-Info, SAS)
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel county-wide
