Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive night-shift inspections of food establishments, childcare facilities, and public swimming pools
- Investigate public health complaints and enforce regulatory standards during overnight hours
- Document violations using digital reporting systems and maintain detailed inspection records
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency response operations during night shifts
- Provide immediate regulatory guidance to businesses during overnight operational hours
- Testify in regulatory hearings regarding night-shift inspection findings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or related field
- Nevada Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of regulatory inspection experience
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work independently overnight (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Proficiency in mobile inspection technologies and reporting software
- Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with overnight business operators
