Responsibilities
- Conduct epidemiological investigations of disease outbreaks and public health threats
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and implement intervention strategies
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, laboratories, and community partners
- Develop and deliver public health education programs to diverse populations
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for public health policy improvements
- Respond to public health emergencies during non-business hours as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public health investigation or epidemiology
- Certified in Incident Command System (ICS) or willing to obtain within 6 months
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SAS, R)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights/weekends during emergencies
