Responsibilities
- Design and implement community health initiatives targeting chronic disease prevention
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health trends and gaps
- Coordinate with federal/state agencies for grant-funded programs
- Develop educational materials for diverse populations across Virginia
- Conduct site visits and compliance reviews for healthcare facilities
- Prepare reports for state legislature and federal health authorities
- Lead crisis response coordination during public health emergencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government/public health sector
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Valid Virginia driver's license
- Knowledge of HIPAA and CDC protocols
- Experience with federal grant reporting requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
