Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid field investigations for disease outbreaks and health threats
- Collect and analyze epidemiological data using GIS mapping tools
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and community organizations
- Develop emergency response protocols for public health incidents
- Prepare detailed reports for city officials and CDC liaisons
- Train frontline staff on new health surveillance systems
- Manage digital health databases and ensure HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of field investigation experience
- Certification in Public Health Investigation (CPHI) preferred
- Proficiency in Epi-Info and statistical analysis software
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work rotating shifts during emergencies
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Crisis management and de-escalation training
