Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clinical care and health education to county residents and vulnerable populations
- Coordinate outbreak investigations and implement disease control protocols
- Develop and execute community health outreach programs targeting underserved groups
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community organizations to address health disparities
- Collect and analyze epidemiological data to inform public health strategies
- Supervise junior nursing staff and student interns in clinical settings
- Prepare detailed reports for county health officials and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Valid California Registered Nurse license (RN)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master's in Public Health (MPH) preferred
- 3+ years of clinical nursing experience with public health focus
- Certification in Epidemiology or Public Health Nursing (e.g., PHN) required
- Experience with electronic health records and data management systems
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends for community events
- Strong bilingual skills in Spanish or Hmong highly desirable
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
