Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based health policy recommendations addressing urban health disparities
- Analyze complex datasets to inform public health interventions and resource allocation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including epidemiologists and community liaisons
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony for city council reviews
- Monitor federal/state health legislation impacts on Seattle's vulnerable populations
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community organizations and healthcare providers
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Policy Analysis, or related field
- 3+ years experience in government or non-profit health policy roles
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in translating technical data for non-technical audiences
- Deep understanding of health equity frameworks and social determinants of health
- Valid Washington State driver's license or ability to navigate public transit
