Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data to inform policy recommendations for diverse Seattle communities
- Develop and evaluate health intervention programs addressing chronic disease prevention
- Collaborate with government agencies, non-profits, and community stakeholders on health initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony for city council presentations
- Monitor federal/state health regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities
- Lead public health outreach campaigns targeting vulnerable populations
- Manage grant-funded projects supporting health equity goals
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in health policy analysis or government public health roles
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Experience with Seattle/King County public health systems preferred
- Strong understanding of health equity frameworks and social determinants
- Exceptional written communication for policy documents and presentations
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Ability to work occasional evenings/weekends for community events
