Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data and health outcomes to develop evidence-based policy recommendations
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to implement culturally responsive health interventions
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony for state policymakers
- Manage grant-funded projects supporting underserved populations in Wayne County
- Lead inter-agency task forces addressing environmental health hazards in urban settings
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed public health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in health policy analysis or government program evaluation
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated experience with health disparity reduction initiatives in urban environments
- Knowledge of Michigan's public health system and legislative processes
- Excellent written communication skills with sample policy analysis portfolio required
- Valid Michigan driver's license for occasional statewide travel
