Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data to identify trends and inform policy recommendations
- Develop and evaluate health intervention programs targeting underserved communities
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony for city council hearings
- Coordinate with federal agencies (CDC, HRSA) to secure grant funding for health initiatives
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement public health emergency response protocols
- Conduct stakeholder engagement with healthcare providers, nonprofits, and community groups
- Monitor compliance with state and federal public health regulations (HIPAA, ACA)
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health policy analysis or government healthcare roles
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated success in securing federal/state grants for health programs
- Deep understanding of Texas public health statutes and healthcare systems
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills for policy advocacy
- PHRP (Public Health Ready Professional) certification preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
