Responsibilities
- Analyze health data to identify emerging public health threats and policy gaps
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for City Council approval
- Coordinate with state health agencies on grant-funded initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs for stakeholder presentations
- Lead cross-departmental task forces on health equity projects
- Monitor federal/state health legislation for local impact assessment
- Manage public health program budgets and compliance reporting
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of government/public health policy experience
- Advanced proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CDC guidelines, and Ohio health codes
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Valid Ohio driver's license
