Responsibilities
- Analyze complex health data to inform evidence-based policy recommendations
- Develop and evaluate public health programs addressing chronic disease prevention
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local health stakeholders
- Prepare comprehensive reports and legislative briefings for agency leadership
- Monitor policy implementation and measure program effectiveness
- Manage grant-funded projects totaling $1M+ annually
- Advise on emergency response protocols during public health crises
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of policy analysis experience in government or healthcare
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SAS, R, or SPSS)
- Knowledge of NC public health statutes and federal regulations
- Proven ability to translate technical data for diverse audiences
- Experience with health equity initiatives and social determinants
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
