Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data to identify policy gaps and recommend evidence-based solutions
- Develop and evaluate state health policies related to disease prevention, healthcare access, and health equity
- Collaborate with legislative stakeholders, community organizations, and federal agencies to advance public health priorities
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs, legislative testimony, and implementation roadmaps
- Monitor emerging public health trends and assess their potential impact on state policies
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement new health initiatives across New York's 62 counties
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Public Administration, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in health policy analysis or government healthcare administration
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis with proficiency in SAS, R, or SPSS
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing state-level health policies
- Strong knowledge of NY State healthcare systems and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with policy writing experience
- Ability to navigate complex governmental processes and stakeholder environments
