Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and policy gaps
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations addressing chronic disease prevention
- Collaborate with interagency teams to coordinate health initiatives across DC government
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative stakeholders
- Monitor federal health legislation and assess local impact
- Lead community outreach programs to gather stakeholder feedback
- Manage health equity initiatives for underserved populations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in health policy analysis or government healthcare
- Proficiency in statistical software (R, SPSS, SAS) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated experience with health equity frameworks and community engagement
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with policy drafting experience
- Knowledge of CDC guidelines and federal health regulations
- Valid driver's license (required for community site visits)
