Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and evaluate public health data to inform policy recommendations
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and implementation strategies for state health initiatives
- Collaborate with legislators, community stakeholders, and federal agencies on health equity programs
- Monitor legislative changes and assess potential impacts on public health operations
- Present findings to senior leadership and public health advisory boards
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in health policy analysis or government program management
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and data visualization tools
- Strong understanding of NC state healthcare systems and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Valid NC driver's license and ability to travel statewide (10% time)
- Experience with federal grant applications (HRSA, CDC, SAMHSA)
