Responsibilities
- Analyze local health data trends and policy impacts using statistical modeling tools
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations addressing chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Coordinate with state/federal agencies to align with public health initiatives (CDC, DHSS)
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs for City Council and stakeholder presentations
- Manage grant compliance reporting for federal public health funding programs
- Lead community engagement sessions to gather input on health policy development
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit setting
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and GIS mapping tools
- Deep understanding of federal public health frameworks (ACA, HIPAA)
- Exceptional written communication with demonstrated policy writing samples
- Kansas City residency required within 90 days of hire
- Valid Missouri driver's license
