Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data and health trends to inform policy recommendations
- Develop and evaluate public health legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Coordinate cross-agency initiatives with federal, state, and local partners
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony for stakeholders
- Lead community engagement sessions to gather stakeholder input on health initiatives
- Monitor implementation of public health policies and assess impact metrics
- Manage grant-funded projects supporting health equity initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Deep knowledge of Illinois public health systems and regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to navigate complex legislative processes
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Valid Illinois driver's license required
