Responsibilities
- Develop and advocate for public health policies addressing chronic disease prevention, health equity, and emergency response
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform policy recommendations and program implementation
- Coordinate with government agencies, community partners, and stakeholders to align health initiatives
- Lead community outreach programs to gather feedback and ensure policy accessibility
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative bodies and public hearings
- Monitor policy impacts through quantitative metrics and qualitative assessments
- Manage grant-funded projects supporting public health infrastructure development
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Policy, or related field with 3+ years experience
- Proven expertise in health policy analysis and government regulatory frameworks
- Advanced proficiency in epidemiological data analysis tools (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Demonstrated success in community engagement and stakeholder collaboration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for policy advocacy
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance requirements
- Knowledge of Washington State public health statutes and local ordinances
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
