Responsibilities
- Analyze public health data and trends to inform policy development and program evaluation
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations for agency leadership
- Coordinate with state legislators, county health departments, and community organizations
- Monitor federal and state health legislation for potential impacts on Oregon populations
- Design and implement health equity assessments across diverse demographic groups
- Present findings to public officials and community stakeholders through clear visualizations
- Lead cross-functional task forces on emerging public health challenges
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government health policy or public health administration
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS)
- Expertise in health equity frameworks and culturally responsive methodologies
- Demonstrated success in developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration and conflict resolution
- Valid Oregon driver's license and ability to travel statewide as needed
