Responsibilities
- Analyze public health data and trends to inform policy development and program evaluation
- Develop and draft comprehensive health policies aligned with CDC guidelines and local priorities
- Coordinate with government agencies, community organizations, and stakeholders for policy implementation
- Prepare detailed reports, briefings, and presentations for senior leadership and city officials
- Monitor legislation and regulatory changes affecting public health initiatives
- Lead community outreach initiatives to gather stakeholder feedback on health policies
- Manage grant-funded projects related to health equity and emergency preparedness
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Health Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health policy analysis or government health programs
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R) and health information systems
- Strong understanding of federal/state public health regulations and healthcare systems
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex data
- Experience with community engagement and stakeholder collaboration
- Valid Illinois driver's license (required for field visits)
- US citizenship or legal authorization to work in the US
