Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health policies aligned with Maryland's strategic goals
- Analyze epidemiological data and health trends to inform policy recommendations
- Collaborate with state legislators, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony
- Monitor federal healthcare regulations and assess impacts on Maryland
- Manage grant-funded health initiatives and reporting requirements
- Lead cross-departmental health equity initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of public health policy experience at state/federal level
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Strong understanding of Maryland's healthcare landscape
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with legislative processes and grant management
- Valid Maryland driver's license
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
