Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze public health policies aligned with DC Health's strategic goals
- Conduct legislative research and draft policy briefings for senior leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement health equity programs
- Monitor federal/state health regulations and assess local impact
- Prepare grant applications and manage program budgets
- Present policy recommendations to public stakeholders and advisory boards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of government/public health policy experience
- Expertise in health equity frameworks and data-driven policy analysis
- Proficiency in legislative research tools (e.g., LexisNexis, GovTrack)
- Strong written communication skills with policy writing samples
- Knowledge of DC's public health landscape and regulatory environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 security clearance
