Responsibilities
- Develop and implement public health intervention strategies for Chicago communities
- Coordinate multi-agency partnerships including hospitals, non-profits, and local government
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and prioritize interventions
- Manage grant-funded programs with budgets exceeding $500,000
- Train community health workers and frontline staff on evidence-based practices
- Prepare comprehensive reports for state legislature and federal agencies
- Advocate for health equity policies through public testimony and stakeholder engagement
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years program management experience in public health setting
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Illinois Public Health Certification (PHR) required
- Experience with CDC grant administration preferred
- Knowledge of Chicago's public health landscape
- Excellent written communication skills for policy documents
- Valid Illinois driver's license
