Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify community health trends and inform strategic initiatives
- Manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with government agencies and community stakeholders
- Develop grant proposals and secure funding for public health initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for senior leadership
- Oversee program budgets and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health program management or government administration
- Proven track record in grant writing and budget management (>$500k)
- Strong analytical skills with experience using health data systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Illinois driver's license and ability to travel citywide
- Experience working with diverse communities and underserved populations
