Responsibilities
- Oversee development and implementation of statewide public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and allocate resources effectively
- Manage program budgets and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Coordinate interagency partnerships with healthcare providers and community stakeholders
- Prepare comprehensive reports for legislative briefings and public health advisories
- Lead crisis response teams during public health emergencies
- Mentor junior staff and evaluate program performance metrics
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health program management
- Current certification in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and budget management
- Strong knowledge of Florida's public health infrastructure and regulations
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Valid Florida driver's license required
