Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health strategies for vulnerable populations
- Coordinate multi-agency partnerships for disaster response and health emergency drills
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and intervention priorities
- Manage federal grant budgets exceeding $2M with strict compliance reporting
- Train local health departments on new protocols and regulatory requirements
- Lead community outreach initiatives reaching 50,000+ Texans annually
- Prepare legislative briefings and testimony for public health policy advancement
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (MPH preferred)
- 5+ years progressive experience in public health program management
- Valid Texas Public Health Certification or eligibility
- Expertise in CMS 428 and HRSA grant management systems
- Advanced proficiency in SPSS/R for statistical analysis
- Experience leading cross-functional teams during health emergencies
- Knowledge of Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 241
- Bilingual English/Spanish certification required
