Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform program strategies
- Coordinate with community partners, healthcare providers, and government agencies
- Develop grant proposals and manage program budgets exceeding $1M annually
- Lead public health emergency preparedness and response initiatives
- Conduct community needs assessments and stakeholder engagement activities
- Prepare comprehensive reports for department leadership and funding agencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of program management experience in public health/government
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Experience developing health equity initiatives for diverse populations
- Valid California driver's license and ability to travel countywide
- Knowledge of federal/state public health regulations and compliance standards
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation abilities
