Responsibilities
- Oversee development and implementation of community health initiatives targeting underserved populations
- Manage $2M+ grant portfolio ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health trends and recommend interventions
- Coordinate cross-departmental responses to health emergencies and disease outbreaks
- Lead stakeholder engagement with healthcare providers, non-profits, and community leaders
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city council and state health department
- Mentor junior staff and supervise program evaluation activities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years experience in public health program management
- Proven expertise in grant writing and federal compliance (CDC, HRSA)
- Strong quantitative analysis skills with experience in SPSS/R
- Valid Arizona driver's license and ability to travel to community sites
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Experience with health equity initiatives and culturally competent programming
- Knowledge of Arizona Revised Statutes Title 36 (Health)
