Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of population health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform strategic priorities
- Manage $2M+ grant portfolios ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead cross-functional teams including epidemiologists, outreach specialists, and community health workers
- Develop partnerships with hospitals, non-profits, and local government agencies
- Prepare reports for City Council, state agencies, and federal funders
- Supervise program staff including performance management and professional development
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (MPH preferred)
- 5+ years progressive experience in public health program management
- Proven success managing federal/state grants and budgets over $1M
- Advanced proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Experience developing health equity initiatives for urban communities
- Knowledge of Maryland public health regulations and CMS requirements
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders
- Valid Maryland driver's license and reliable transportation
