Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity initiatives
- Manage program budgets, reporting requirements, and compliance with state/federal regulations
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement including healthcare providers, community leaders, and advocacy groups
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and program effectiveness
- Lead grant writing and resource development for program sustainability
- Supervise program staff and provide technical guidance on public health best practices
- Prepare comprehensive reports for state leadership and funding agencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of program management experience in public health or healthcare
- Florida Public Health Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Experience with data analysis using tools like SPSS or SAS
- Knowledge of Florida's public health system and Title V regulations
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to work occasional evenings/weekends for community events
