Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee implementation of evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Collaborate with community partners, healthcare providers, and local government agencies to coordinate health initiatives
- Manage program budgets, monitor performance metrics, and prepare comprehensive reports for state leadership
- Lead crisis response efforts for public health emergencies including disease outbreaks and natural disasters
- Supervise cross-functional teams of health professionals and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Design and deliver health education campaigns reaching diverse populations across Duval and surrounding counties
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years progressive experience in public health program management or government administration
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean driving record
- Proven expertise in grant writing and federal/state compliance (e.g., CDC, CMS)
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification within 6 months
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R) and health information systems
- Demonstrated success leading community coalitions and stakeholder engagement
