Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Lead cross-functional teams in emergency response planning and pandemic preparedness
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and recommend policy interventions
- Secure and manage federal/state grants totaling $500K+ annually
- Collaborate with community partners to address social determinants of health
- Oversee program evaluation and reporting to county leadership
- Represent the department in interagency coalitions and public forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of program management experience in government/public health
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Expertise in grant writing and federal compliance (e.g., CDC, HRSA)
- Advanced data analysis skills with SPSS/R/STATA
- Experience developing health equity initiatives for diverse populations
- Valid Arizona Driver's License
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
