Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting underserved communities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform policy recommendations
- Manage grant-funded initiatives with budgets exceeding $500K annually
- Coordinate cross-departmental partnerships with healthcare providers and community organizations
- Lead crisis response for public health emergencies including pandemics and environmental hazards
- Mentor junior staff and supervise program evaluation teams
- Present findings to city council and community stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of program management experience in government/public health
- Valid California Public Health Analyst certification (CPHA)
- Advanced proficiency in SPSS/R for statistical analysis
- Proven grant management experience with federal/state funding
- Strong understanding of CA Title 22 regulations
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
