Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and emerging threats
- Develop evidence-based health policies and intervention programs
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives addressing health equity disparities
- Manage grant-funded projects ($1M+ budgets) with federal/state partners
- Present findings to City Council, community boards, and media outlets
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate public health emergency responses
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government/public health analytics
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent credential
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, Stata)
- Demonstrated success in securing public health grants
- Experience with community health assessment methodologies
- Valid California driver's license
