Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Oversee grant management and budget allocation for health initiatives
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify community health trends
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Lead stakeholder engagement with healthcare providers and community organizations
- Train and supervise program staff and volunteers
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and state health authorities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field (MPH preferred)
- 5+ years of public health program management experience
- Valid Texas Public Health Professional certification
- Advanced data analysis skills (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance
- Excellent crisis communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Knowledge of local Austin health disparities and resources
