Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Manage $1.2M+ annual budgets with rigorous fiscal oversight and grant compliance
- Lead community coalitions and collaborate with 15+ local health organizations
- Analyze population health data to identify trends and inform strategic planning
- Oversee program staff and volunteers, ensuring performance excellence
- Prepare comprehensive reports for City Council and public health boards
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of program management experience in government/public health
- California Public Health Certification (CPH) required
- Advanced proficiency in SPSS/R for health data analysis
- Demonstrated success in grant writing and fund management
- Experience with community engagement and coalition building
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred
